Eco Clean strives to operate with a responsible attitude to the environment and our effect upon it. We are committed to running our business to high ethical standards. Consequently, we are trying to encourage our customers to take a similar approach towards the way they conduct their business in respect of the environment.
We source all our products from respectable companies who share our views on minimising the impact on the community and the way we live.
All our staff are made aware of the environmental targets we strive to achieve. They are kept up to date with energy saving ideas and different ways to use their products to minimise the impact on the environment.
Stock and cleaning products are purchased in bulk, thus reducing transportation costs. Cleaning products are then stored at the premises where the work is to be carried out, for the duration of the contract. This also reduces transportation costs.
We are taking steps in addition to those listed above to reduce our carbon footprint. Recycling is a major focus for our company. We are able to reuse many containers and only purchase refills. We recycle all packaging where possible. We are also taking additional steps, such as: using energy efficient lighting in our offices, reducing waste generated in the office and recycling as much as we can, switching off lighting not in use or required.
New for 2009, we have introduced a scheme to put something back into the environment. We pledge to plant a new tree for every new contract we successfully obtain. This tree will be dedicated to the company and they will receive a certificate. We hope our efforts will persuade other companies to engage in their own environmental efforts.
